OK, I've located the listening device you've placed in my office. How did you train a cricket to stand still holding a mike?

We just had a meeting with Infohrm last week about joining the CPH group. Stay tuned.

Thanks for sharing these finds John. I was taken by your comment on "Gen Y, Brazen Opportunist and the Curious Case of Penelope Trunk" - I think Trend Hunter would agree with your point about "extreme disclosure" in their Top Trends in 2010 forecast they call this "Exposed Vulnerability".

You can see the video in a post I made to the StepStone blog - I'm interested in how some of these trends will surface in the work place and your find makes an great contribution.

Thanks again

Thanks John,

I am honored and also surprised that so many folks mentioned me as a top influencer. I just wanted to correct one fact on your article. Ann Rhoades was the first head of the "People Department" at Southwest and I followed in her footsteps. I was the first head of "People" be part of the executive planning committee...the proverbial seat at the table.

Thanks for the nice write up and the plug for my blog.

The Australian approach is outcome orientated but also risk aware. The areas chosen for the initial in-scope items were selected on the basis of their strategic contribution and potential risk.

There are few examples worldwide of how to undertake a HR Standards project but Neil's technical and consulting expertise will ensure the Australian project is delivered on time, within budget and produce a solid baseline for future researchers.

John,

I love reading your posts all over the web. The "Top 100" is a fascinating concept. I look forward to whose next.

I did notice that Elliot Clark's piece is not showing up on the Top 100 anymore. Is there a reason for that?

Or, who is asking ‘What if HR is not strategic and never should have been?’ Or, ‘What if everything we know about organiziations is an anachronism, an artifact of 20th Century Industrial thinking?”

Very interesting. The type of transformation you are suggesting is more of a paradigm change, and would be most difficult to gain general acceptance.
